SPS Solicitor Estate Agents will provide clients with a full HIP service from 1 August 2007. In the first instance this will be for properties with 4 bedrooms or more.
If you are selling a second-hand residential property with 4 bedrooms or more, you will be required to have a Home Information Pack (HIP). Until the end of 2007 a property can be marketed where the HIP is in progress. An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will be valid for 12 months.
The HIP will ensure that important information is provided at the beginning of the legal process, creating a faster, more efficient home buying and selling system.
